After the courses, students will be in touch with ancient greek political philosophy, they will be able to recognize the difference between the main political theories, they will know the basic elements of the political theories and they will be in position to use the main philosophical concepts concerning politics.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course examines the key points of ancient Greek political thought. Based on primary philosophical texts (mainly Plato’s and Aristotle’s), the course offers an introduction to the problems, concepts and methods of classical political philosophy. Special emphasis is laid on the relation between ancient political philosophy and contemporary political theories.
