Learning Outcomes
The purpose of the course is to define the quality and typical structure of wood, describing and analyzing the quality characteristics that are considered for the quality classification of this material, as well as the type of defects it may have. The change in behavior and properties of wood resulting from the existence of faults and wood of non-standard structure is described. The importance of the quality of the wood for its further utilization in various uses and applications is emphasized, while the factors that affect the quality of the wood during the growth of the tree and during its processing are examined.
General Competences
  • Apply knowledge in practice
  • Work autonomously
  • Work in teams
  • Work in an international context
  • Work in an interdisciplinary team
  • Respect natural environment
  • Advance free, creative and causative thinking
