Cognitive: Introduction to the structure, chemical composition, function and interaction of cells and organelles. Understanding the cell as a dynamic and self-regulated entity of life and as an intergrated system of study. Skills: Introduction to microscopic and chemical methods for the analyses on cells and the localization of subcellular organelles as well as bioanalysis of cellular reactions

Theoretical Lectures: Elements of Evolution, Structure and Categories of Eukaryotic cells– Methods of cellular analyses-Biological membranes – Nucleus-Nuclear envelope-Endoplasmic reticulum – Golgi complex – Intracellular trafficking – Mitochondria – Peroxisomes – Lysosomes – Endocytosis – Exocytosis- Cytoskeleton – Elements of cell interaction & signalling - Cell division – Cell Death Practical Exercises: Morfometry, Electron Microscopy, Histochemistry and optical microscopy, Cell Division, Dynamics of Cell Division, Cellular Bioassay-Cell reaction
