Course Content (Syllabus)
This module focuses on the study of a range of British plays written between the second half of the twentieth century to the present day (Look Back in Anger, Top Girls, Crave, Foxfinder, The Country). Particular emphasis will be given to analysing plays in relation to their specific historical, sociocultural and aesthetic contexts in order to evaluate and understand particular themes such as gender, social class etc. as well as the use of dramaturgical form. We will be using Greek and English sources.
