Course Content (Syllabus)
the subject of the course is the art of constructing animated dolls (puppet), and the basic principles for the construction of a theatrical mask. Initially the materials used are wood, clay, fabric and paper, and then collected from the environment of patchy materials for decoration of puppet or mask. Through the course, students will master various techniques and come in contact with the materials, constructing the individual pieces of puppet or mask. Benchmarks are both functional and stable construction and the presentation of original and imaginative characters. The course is extremely useful to TiE projects, as it gives to the students skills that are necessary for a very creative TiE application: puppet theatre.
