Learning Outcomes
Understanding satellite methods for positioning. Learning GPS system and its use to applications in GEodesy and Surveying. Using GPS receivers in fieldwork and understanding the basic steps for field measurements and data processing. Familiar with GPS/GNSS software packages.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to Global Navigation Satellite Systems-GNSS. The GPS segments. Satellite signal and GPS time. GPS receivers and error sources. Observation equations and combinations. Mathematical models for positioning. Techniques and observing methods with GPS. Data processing. GPS baseline solution. Using GPS in practice. Capabilities and applications.
