Learning Outcomes
At successful completion of the courses, students will hace acquired sufficient knowledge on: 1. The basic elements on the history and actual situation of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. 2. The particular clinical and theoretical approach of the age group 0-18, in the perspective of the ongoing developmental process. 3. The application of thw bio-psycho-social moden in this particular age group. 4. The concept of mental health promotion in childhood and adolescence as well as the role of prevention for adult life. 5. The basic principles in therapeutic approach of psychiatric and psychosocial problems of this age group. 6. The basic principles in the organization of services within the Community Psychiatry perspective.

- Pregnancy, birth, perinatality - Developmental process during childhood and adolescence - Autism and other developmental disorders - Mental deficiency - Childhood psychoses and psychotic disorders in adolescence - Affective disorders in childhood and adolescence - Learning and other specific developmental disorders - Eating disorders - Self harm and suicide attempts in adolescence - Neurotic disorders - Personality disorders - Psychosocial problems (child neglect and abuse, fostering and adoption) - Forensic Child and Adolescence Psychiatry - Therapeutic approaches and organization of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Services
