Learning Outcomes

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course aims to introduce students to the concepts, importance, content and dimensions of Strategic Management. Concepts of corporate governance, competitive advantage are analyzed and the role of the Vision, the Mission and the Main Goals of a company are highlighted. The key factors of the External and Internal environment in shaping the strategy are also examined. Emphasis is given to the various levels of strategy (Corporate, Business, Operational Level), the selection of the appropriate Strategy as well as the Implementation and Control. In addition, case studies are analysed in order to familiarize students with 1) the strategic problems and / or obstacles that business executives combat in real life, 2) the strategies that are selected and applied for their solution and 3) the results from the implementation of specific strategies.
