Learning Outcomes
After the succesful completion of the course, students are expected to: • Understand the theoretical axes of geodesy • cultivate their personal skills in basic concepts / knowledge of the use of geodetic instruments • get to know the basic characteristics of qualitative research / measurement of geodetic data • learn different ways of collecting quantitative and qualitative data • learn to practice analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data • connect theory with practice through participation in individual and group exercise • become familiar with the organization and presentation of geodetic measurements • practice solving geodetic problems. • become aware of methodological and practical issues arising from the researcher's involvement in the field under study • understand the role and importance of Geodesy / Topography Course.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction. Units of measurement geodetic sizes. Theory of errors. Basic operating principles of classical and modern geodetic instruments. Geodetic instruments, measurement methods and calculation of lengths, angles and elevation differences. Instruments and methods plumb high construction. Geodetic projections. Fundamental problems of geodesy. Triangulations. Determination of traverse points. Calibration and maintaining geodetic instruments.
