Learning Outcomes
-Students will become familiar with the history, terminology and basic goals of Comparative Literature -Students will be gradually initiated to intertextuality through applied workshops on selected texts -Each group of students will present their project in public, so that the whole class can take advantage of their research work.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course provides specific information on basic principles of General and Comparative Literature (such as the influences received by the author, the evolution of literary myths, etc.) In parallel, students proceed to an elementary comparative study of certain poems, written by authors of various origins, times, cultures, etc

Student Assessment
Description
The evaluation of students will be achieved as follows: 40 % from the students' participation in group work during classes + 60 % from a written exam at the end of the semester on a) theory (in French) and b) on poems studied during the course (in French or in Greek, according to each student’s choice).
