Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will :  Have been familiarized with the cultural oriented translation theories  Have been familiarized with the cultural dimension of translation  Have acquired basic knowledge on translation studies  Have been familiarized with the basic translation techniques and strategies used for the translation of cultural markers  Be able to distinguish the cultural markers on micro-structure level  Be able to distinguish the cultural markers on macro-structure level

Course Content (Syllabus)
Study of the cultural and political dimension of the translation phenomenon. Emphasis is given on the cultural turn in Translation Studies. Furthermore are distinguished the levels in which culture and translation are involved (collective organization of the speech, text content, ethics translation).
