Upon completion of the course, students should:
1. realize the main environmental issues of the planet and their relationship to sustainability
2. have understood the relationship between these environmental issues and social, economic and political choices both on a personal and collective level
3. aware of the existing ways of dealing with them
4. be able to analyze critically local issues in the context of sustainable development
