It would be better if the students are familiar with the basic concepts and practices of literary education.
Learning Outcomes
With the successful completion of the course the students are expected to: •Elaborate theoretical and practical problems of literature teaching •Know how to use the literature curricula of primary education •Be able to design scenarios for literature teaching •Practice in teaching literature projects in real classes •Practice reading programs in children’s libraries

Course Content (Syllabus)
The aim of this course is to train the students in using new teaching practices in literature class. The course examines ways of integrating literature reading with other subject areas such as environmental or social studies. Additionally, it investigates ways to motivate children to read through extra-curricular activities like book clubs, book fairs, invitations to writers etc. The students are asked to design literature projects and teach them experimentally in schools.

Description
Presentation programs are used, both by the teacher and the student on regular basis. The students use multimedia material for their teaching projects in schools such as videos, digital stories, films, songs. Teacher and students collaborate through e-mail.

Description
Students are being assessed through: a) their participation in seminars b) the designing and presentation of a teaching scenario c) the practice in schools and children's libraries d) the final study which comments and assess their teaching experience. The criteria of assessment are explained in the class.
