Learning Outcomes
At the end of this session, students will be able to:
-acknowledge the methods that are used today in the diagnosis of the premalignant lesions of the vulva and the vagina
-interpret the findings of a vaginoscopic or vulvoscopic image
-interpret the biomarkers that are used in the diagnosis of these lesions
-evaluate the proposed conservative or surgical treatment
Course Content (Syllabus)
There will be a presentation and analysis (sensitivity, specificity, advantages-disadvantages, learning curve) of the methods that are used today in the diagnosis of the premalignant lesions of the vulva and the vagina. These methods include vaginoscopy and vulcoscopy but, also, several biomarkers. There will also be a report of the current conservative and surgical methods of treatment of these diseases including methods of application and their possible complications.
