Course Content (Syllabus)
Ecology - concept and principles. Paleoecology: data; approaches/methods; applications. Introduction to the principles and methods of mechanical and functional analysis of skeletal morphology. Ecological requirements and morphofunctional adaptations. Phylogenetic and functional constraints on tetrapod morphology. Calculation of biological and demographic characteristics of vertebrate animals. Evolution of the brain. Island biogeography and evolutionary ecology.
