Learning Outcomes
At the end of this session, students will be able to: -understand the mechanism of vaginal delivery -acknowledge and foresee any delivery complication -deal, theoretically, with the most common complications -know the modes of operative delivery, their indications, their possible complications and the way to deal with most of them -acknowledge the complications that may arise during the puerperium

Course Content (Syllabus)
The mechanism of vaginal delivery as well as its possible complications are described in this section together with the most current conservative and operative techniques for dealing with them. Methods of operative deliveries are also discussed. What's more, mode of delivery in special groups, such as preterm neonates and fetuses suffering from growth restriction, is discussed. Finally, there is extensive discussion on the period of puerperium and the possible complications that may arise then.
