Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will: 1. acquire the ability to original text regarding the elaboration of a project concerning Byzantine and Christian monument 2. can recognize, document and propose ways and means of perserving Byzantine and Christian Monument 3. understand the world of the Byzantine manuscript 4. are able to approach the modern library and modern methods of protection, dissemination and study of manuscripts

1. Introduction-Terminology 2. Pilgrimage and Travels in Turkish-occupied Greece and its relationship with the Christian monument. Organization of educational programs to inform citizens about the Christian monuments of their city 3. The case of Thrace 4. The case of the archaeological site of Philippi and Prespa 5. The case of Thessaloniki, Veria and Kastoria 6. The case of Mount Athos and Meteora 7. The case of Mystras and Monemvasia 8. Museums.
