Learning Outcomes
In this course, students carry out research under the supervision of a teacher specialized in the subject of the research. At the end of the semester, the students submit a 18,000-word research paper, which may focus on, among other things, a literature review, presentation and discussion of empirical data, analysis of a phenomenon in the light of a specific theoretical framework. Alternatively, the students can create a portfolio with educational materials based on relevant literature. The portfolio is a professionally oriented research project that aims to carry out or evaluate projects such as teaching or training development materials on certain topics or conducting an educational experiment. It requires knowledge of professional goals (theoretical framework and previous research) and practices, familiarity with available alternative methods, ability to evaluate teaching-related issues.
