Course Content (Syllabus)
This course focuses on the relationship of philosophy and literature from Antiquity to modern times, aiming to understand the connection between the two fields of expression. More specifically, the literary text (written word, poetry and theatre) is approached as a carrier of philosophical thought; we will be studying the means through which philosophical meanings are recorded into the literary code. Furthermore, through criticism and philosophical texts, literature will be studied as an object of philosophical thought. Evaluation will be based on projects and/or a final examination.
