Learning Outcomes
After successful course completion, the students will : 1) Be able to realize the reasonable use of the diagnostic applications of Nuclear Medicine in common clinical senarios concerning many medical specialties (oncology, haematology, surgery, cardiology, pneumonology, nephrology, urology, rheumatology etc) wiith emphasis on modern trends of molecular hybrid imaging (SPECT/CT and PET/CT), 2) Become aware of the clinical value of the radioisotopic measurements of significant biological substances in vitro (hormones, tumor markers) and significant biological functions (glomerular filtration rate) and 3) Βe able to understand the role of the radioisotopic therapies (including the targeting - theranostics ones) in the management of both benign and neoplastic diseases.
