Learning Outcomes
The goal is for the student to acquire a general knowledge of theatrical space and its evolution from antiquity until today. To understand the use of space in relation to the philosophy of each era as well as to become familiar with visual and acoustical issues in the theatrical space.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Lectures on the evolution of the architecture of theaters, in conjunction with the evolution of building techniques and technology as well as the architectural movements in relation to the corresponding theatrical developments. Each lecture is supported with rich visual material.

Student Assessment
Description
The student is evaluated on the basis of a final exam which covers the 70% of the grade and exercises which cover the 30% of the grade.
