Learning Outcomes
In completing the Master's thesis, students are expected to conduct research using qualitative and quantitative research methods and modern research tools, and to develop an exploratory perspective on the design of learning, teaching and research in early and middle childhood. Specifically, students are expected to be able to  Engage in the design of a research process with a clear scope and purpose  Carry out a literature review in a specific field and on a specific topic  Organise, analyse and synthesise literature data  Formulate research questions/hypotheses appropriate to the purpose of the research  Select appropriate research methods to gather empirical data  Apply the principles of ethics and research ethics  Apply appropriate methods of data analysis and processing  Select procedures for presenting and discussing findings  Reflect critically and recognise the limitations and implications of research  Present the whole research process in a comprehensive way to the general public.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The Master's dissertation is individual and features elements of originality. It is of a research nature and introduces the student to scientific research in the field of Education and the Arts, and includes the communication of the results of the research, both written and oral, following the standards of the international scientific community.

Description
The Master's dissertation is assessed using formative and summative assessment methods.  Written assignment (formative and summative)  Public Presentation (formative and summative) During the first meeting, the student will be informed about the whole framework of the collaboration with the supervisor (requirements, communication, frequency of meetings, etc.). The criteria for the evaluation of the Master's dissertation are included in the Dissertation Guide and presented to the student by the supervisor(s).
