Learning Outcomes
After completing this course students will be able to: - use digital applications when teaching science, geography and mathematics in the primary school - create digital narratives for science teaching - know what GIS and web mapping are - know how to use ArcGIS Online for making new mapsonline and make them public - recognize whether a digital technology can facilitate a teaching situation and at the same time they will be able to choose the proper technology among the available ones.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course introduces and trains students in digital applications in science teaching, geography teaching and mathematics teaching in the primary school. The course presents: - What GIS and web mapping are - How to use ArcGIS Online in the class - Programming and Mathematics in the Logo-based environment of MaLt - Mathematical activities in the Dynamic Geometry Software of Geogebra - The use of spreadsheets in Mathematics Teaching - Digital narratives for science teaching - Web based learning environments for science teaching

Student Assessment
The assessment will be based on a written project or a creative project concerning the design and development of original digital educational material. Each student will provide one written essay and will be presented in the class. During the presentation the student may use the appropriate software. The grade will be the average estimation of the grades of the three tutors of the subject.
