Course Content (Syllabus)
This seminar deals with verb classes based on syntactic behaviour (alternations),and verb classes formed from semantic criteria such as thematic roles and elements of Lexical Conceptual Structure. The course will focus on argument structure, aspect (viewpoint aspect) and situation types (static, dynamic etc.)(German/English-Greek). Different approaches as well as different forms of classification of german verb classes from a contrastive perspective will be evaluated.
