Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Evaluate the major theoretical frameworks by which psychologists have described and understood interpersonal relationships and social interaction.
- Critically examine the primary controversies that exist in theories of interpersonal relationships within social psychology
- Be aware of the differences in levels of analysis in the explanation of interpersonal relationships: intrapersonal, interpersonal, cultural.
- Critically evaluate the main methods of studying interpersonal relationships in social behaviour.
