Learning Outcomes
After completing the course students are expected to
• know the theories in the field of collective actions and social conflicts derived from social psychology and sociology
• be familiar with the research approaches in the field of collective actions and social conflicts
• be able to design and realize pilot researches in the above issues through the use of interviews, focus groups and thematic analysis
• be able to write short scientific reports.
Course Content (Syllabus)
The aim of the course is to familiarise students to the theory and research in the field of collective actions and group conflicts based on social psychology and sociology. During the course students are asked to design their own pilot researches on the field by using various social psychology research methods and tools (such as observation, interviews, focus groups, content analysis and discourse analysis) and write short scientific reports.
