Learning Outcomes
The learning outcomes are expected to be:
-the understanding and knowledge of architectural examples through their relationship with the context, social and cultural, and in particular with the perceptions of the Subject
-the understanding of concepts, theories, methods and techniques that make up the modern architectural field and their comparison with earlier phases of architecture

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course is dealing with the relationship between expressions of architectural creation in the course of time and their contemporary view of the subject. Subject and space make up the thematic axis on which we are discussing architectural phenomena from modern until the contemporary phase of our civilisation. In this way we are approaching critically and compartively the predominant aspects of architecture in each era with emphasis to contemporary trends of digital and poststructuralist design. Moreover is examined the basic conceptual body of architectural theory and creation of each period in reference to the influences that brought to their formation the current philosophical and scientific reason. We are examining these issues both at the theoretical level and through the analysis of examples of space in architectural and urban scale. In this context and for more effective uptaking and understanding of the content of the course we make extensive use of electronic audiovisual material, images (photographs, drawings and sketches), charts and videos.

Description
Students are evaluated on the basis of their interest in and participation in the course, the ability to engage in the knowledge that the ψοθρσε attempts to impart, as well as their ability of analysis and composition and their critical thought as reflected in the written work and its presentation at the end of the course semester.
