Basic knowledge of Communication Networks.
Learning Outcomes
Cognitive: Understanding of basic infrastructure issues at the physical level, the sub- MAC level, network and transmission levels, analysis and understanding of existing wireless LANs and 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G cellular networks and IoT network technologies. Skills: Obtaining a complete view of the area of wireless networks, solve exercises based on theory, implementation of laboratory exercises using simulators for wireless network protocols.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to wireless networks, the MAC layer, mobile cellular networks (2G-5G), wireless local area networks, personal area networks, wide area wireless networks, satellite networks, routing algorithms in ad-hoc networks, MobileIP, IoT technologies and applications, Lorawan, Zigbee and NFC standards.
