Learning Outcomes
At the end of teh semester the students are expected to:
1. get a solid grasp of film terms and concepts associated with romanticism, realism, and expressionism in film as well as the avant-garde.
2. understand the menaing and use of editing
3. hone their critical thinking skills along with their analytic skills
4. become acquainted with the examination and analysis of authentic texts related to the aforementioned areas of study.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Authentic reading texts followed by comprehension and vocabulary activities, language exercises, and discussion questions. The texts are mainly about editing, kinds of editing like continuity cutting in relationship to Griffith and Bazin and are taken from a wide variety of sources.
