Specifically, aspects, specific features and themes of literary and artistic production are examined as well as their influence on the artists of later times. In addition, emphasis is put on several areas of human activity (social, politic, scientific, religious, philosophical) in order to show the importance of this period's ideas to the evolution of European civilization and the construction of the modern subjectivity.
