Learning Outcomes
Students will become familiar with definitions and classification of surgical site infections, classification of surgical procedures, epidemiological data and risk factors. Pathogenic microorganisms and their origin, the importance of resistant microbes, the clinical picture, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, preparation and correct behavior of the surgical team will be analyzed and the principles of environmental cleaning will be applied.
