Learning Outcomes
They will be able to apply the theoretical equations of Hydraulics to specific problems. They will determine hydrostatic pressure, and hydrostatic forces in submerged 2D and 3D surfaces. They will apply the Bernoulli equation to all related problems (pipes, reservoirs and all related combinations). They will determine flow through orifices and weirs. They will solve problems related to the application of the conservation of momentum principle in hydraulics.
General Competences
  • Apply knowledge in practice
  • Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
  • Work autonomously
  • Work in an interdisciplinary team
  • Design and manage projects
  • Respect natural environment
  • Advance free, creative and causative thinking
