Learning Outcomes
At the end of the semester students should have adequate knowledge of multimedia and their applications in language education training. They must also: - be informed about the different types of software designed and destined for language education / training, and be able to identify and analyze the characteristics of such software and to evaluate them as to their scientific competence and the anticipated effectiveness - have the technical competence in order to search, download, edit and convert any type of multimedia file using specialized for each case software - be able to create webpages containing multimedia information suitable for educational use - be able to create a Personal Profile Page on the web.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Language learning multimedia software. Evaluation of selected language learning CDs/DVDs software and online language ressourses. Fundamentals of multimedia. Creation and editing of multimedia files: Sound, image and video editing. Multimedia blogging services. Personal profile web pages.

Student Assessment
Description
Evaluation is done by continuous assessment during the semester. Students must deliver papers or projects (referring to the development of content in specific software platforms), assigned to them individually or -sometimes- in groups. The evaluation criteria are technical excellence, scientific / theoretical support, quality / originality and completeness / variety of content. Works submitted to the teacher may be returned to the students -if needed- with comments and instructions for further corrections or improvements.
