Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will have
• obtained knowledge on the French Theatre
• been familiar with the basic terminology of the theatrical text and stage
• gained the capacity to distinguish different currents, tendencies and movements as well as stylistic characteristics and devices
• reinforced the research critical and analytical capacity
•been familiar with the different plays

Course Content (Syllabus)
We study the French drama through the centuries with the literature genre as our axis and by combining the history of literature and poetry. It is about the historical journey of French Theatre designed to develop the sensitivity of students towards the peculiarities of the play narratives through the study of theatrical genres and tendencies and based on representative texts.

Student Assessment
Description
The final evaluation regarding the achievement of the objectives takes place through a written exam (duration 2,5 hours). We also take into account the regular attendance and the participation of the students during the educational process.
