Upon successfully completing the course students will have been exposed to standard works on feminism and women's history and will have studied, analysed, presented and discussed a wide range of important women's autobiographies.

Introduction to: History of autobiography - Theory of autobiography - History of feminism Analysis of women's autobiographies (i.e. Manifesto - B. Evaristo, Oranges are not the only fruit - J. Winterson, I know why the caged bird sings - M. Aggelou, The cost of living - D. Levy)
