Course Content (Syllabus)
We examine the general meaning of the term fantastic in the literary domain, defining it as the set of works whose characters and content do not belong to the area of reality, but to that of the supernatural or metaphysics. We study how the real or conditional principles of the physical sciences are used by the writer, in a simple and popularized way, to animate the reader's imagination, so that supernatural, metaphysical, possible or probable situations are created, which do not that examine the problems of the individual, his dreams, his hopes, diachronically, situating him in space and time. 1.
