Course Content (Syllabus)
This is the second of two courses concerning Specialized Translation. The main goal of the course is to help students acquire the basic technological skills needed in Specialized Translation. To that end, it initiates students to the use of translation technologies in the translation process, as Computer-Assisted tools (CAT), Automated or Machine translation and Corpora. The course combines theoretical approaches to Specialized Translation and translation technologies with the use of certain applications. Syllabus 1. Description
Both courses and exams take place in a computer laboratory, where students get trained in translation, having access to electronic resources (term bases, glossaries, CAT tools). The course material is published on elearning.auth.gr. Students can communicate with the instructor either by e-mail or via the AUTh elearning platform.

Description
3 assignments (45%, all assignments must be submitted) and final exam (55%). The assessment procedure is presented in the course description on elearning.auth.gr, described in outline in the courses guide, and explained to the students.
