Course Content (Syllabus)
The course examines the epistemological relations of three intersecting cycles: epistemological approaches (positivism, antipositivism, etc.), learning theories (behaviourism, constructivism, socio-cultural approach, etc.) and teaching practices (tradition, cooperative learning, differentiated teaching, etc.) with the aim of highlighting their internal, explicit or implicit, epistemological connections and commitments. Therefore, it aims to highlight the dialectical relationship between theory and practice, seeking to link theory (epistemology) with educational practice and teaching. Finally, it seeks to enable students, as future teachers, to be able to recognise the epistemological motivations and consequences of the educational practices they choose, to understand that these are not irreversible, and to shape their future pedagogical identity in a meaningful way.
