Environmental Architectural and Urban Design

<p>In the PSP, holders of first-cycle degrees from domestic and foreign Higher Education Institutions are accepted, and in particular:</p><p>a) Holders of first-cycle degrees from domestic Higher Education Institutions (Universities and Technical Educational Institutions – TEIs), especially graduates of the School of Architecture, other Departments within Faculties of Engineering, and graduates of relevant academic Departments. Applications from graduates of other Departments are accepted provided that candidates have relevant professional or research experience.</p><p>b) Holders of first-cycle degrees from recognized foreign Institutions of the same or related fields as mentioned in the previous clause.</p><p>Final-year students are also eligible to apply, provided they obtain their diploma or degree before the start of the PSP courses. For final-year students, the same requirements apply as for degree holders mentioned above.</p><p>Selection is based on a combination of criteria and a personal interview.</p>
<p>To obtain the Degree of Postgraduate Studies (DPS)<strong> </strong>in "Environmental Architectural and Urban Design", postgraduate students must:</p><p>a) attend and successfully complete examinations in four (4) compulsory theoretical courses and four (4) compulsory design studios,<br>b) attend and successfully complete examinations in either one (1) compulsory support course on research methods and scientific writing, or one (1) compulsory intensive workshop/seminar on environmental design, or one (1) compulsory educational trip (domestic or abroad) with report writing,<br>c) undertake and successfully complete a postgraduate design thesis, which includes both a theoretical-research component and a design-synthesis component.</p>
<p>In the event of a call for applications related to the field of study of the PSP, and depending on the terms of the call, its graduates are given preferential consideration.</p>
<p>Doctoral Study Programs (3rd Cycle of Studies).</p>
<p>The grading scale for evaluating the performance of postgraduate students is defined from zero (0) to ten (10) as follows:</p><ul><li>Excellent: 8.5 to 10.</li><li>Very Good: 6.5 to less than 8.5.</li><li>Good: 6 to less than 6.5.</li><li>A passing grade is six (6) or higher.</li></ul>
<p>The duration of the Postgraduate Studies Program (PSP) is set at three (3) semesters, with a total of 90 ECTS credits.</p><p>A full academic year of studies corresponds to 60 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), and a full semester corresponds to 30 ECTS credits [1 ECTS = 25–30 hours of workload / Harmonization of the Greek Legislation, Ministerial Decision Φ5/89656/Β3, Government Gazette 1466/2007/B, Articles 1–3, in accordance with the European].</p><p>In the first semester, postgraduate students attend two (2) compulsory theoretical courses and two (2) compulsory design studios (30 ECTS). In the second semester, they also attend two (2) compulsory theoretical courses and two (2) compulsory design studios (30 ECTS). In the third semester, postgraduate students for (5 ECTS) choose between one (1) compulsory support course on research methods and scientific writing, one (1) compulsory intensive workshop/seminar on environmental design, or one (1) compulsory educational trip (domestic or abroad) with report writing. In this semester, the program concludes with the completion of a postgraduate design thesis (25 ECTS).</p><p>Each course is assigned a number of required ECTS credits (>= 2), representing the workload expected from the student to complete the course, studio, etc.</p>
