MA in Conference Interpreting and Translation

<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:black;">Degree from Greek Higher Education Institutions (University or Technical University) or recognized foreign Institutions [of equivalent status].</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:black;">For the admission to </span>the Joint Postgraduate Studies programme (J.P.P.S.) “Conference Interpreting and Translation” the following criteria are required:<span style="color:black;"> excellent (verified) knowledge of two languages at Level C2 that are supported by the programme (for the foreigner candidates excellent (verified) knowledge of Greek at level C2) and successful participation in written and oral examinations.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">The M.Sc. in Conference Interpreting and Translation requires the successful completion of four semesters corresponding to a total of 120 ECTS. During the first three semesters, postgraduate students attend and take examinations in seminar courses corresponding to 90 ECTS, in the fourth semester they carry out an internship corresponding to 10 ECTS and prepare a postgraduate thesis corresponding to 20 ECTS, which they present to an open audience / faculty committee.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:black;">Graduates of the Programme do not automatically acquire the right to practice the profession of translator or interpreter.  In certain circumstances, professional employment in either the private or state sectors, as well as in the services of translation and interpretation of the European Union, may require specialized knowledge, where obtaining a relevant MA constitute a formal or operational prerequisite. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:black;">The qualification is a terminal award and allows access to doctoral studies</span></p>
