Master's degree in Landsape Architecture (MLA)
Candidates applying for the MLA degree of the Postgraduate Programme Landscape Architecture must be:
Holders of a diploma from the School of Architecture or the School of Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and/or graduates of similar Schools from other Greek Universities.
Holders of a diploma or degree from relevant Schools abroad, recognized as being equal to those of Greek Universities.
Graduates in Landscape Architecture Institutions abroad recognized as equivalent.
The selection of postgraduate students is based on the evaluation of the candidatesualifications (file submission/application and necessary supporting documents) and personal interviews.
The courses offered in the Joint Postgraduate Program Landscape Architecture come under the following three components:
LD, Landscape Design
LS, Landscape Sciences
LT, Landscape Techniques,
with respective codes by category, serial number and credit units (ECTS). The courses are divided into compulsory and compulsory optional.
Postgraduate students are required to successfully attend postgraduate courses corresponding to 30 Credit units per semester (three semesters of courses). They are also required to write a PostgraduateDiploma Thesis, which is completed during the fourth semester and is equivalent to thirty (30) Credits units. Each postgraduate student is required to successfully complete 120 Credit units of postgraduate courses and postgraduate thesis.
A scale of 1 to 10 applies to the marks of each subject in the Hellenic Higher Education.

Άριστα (Arista) Excellent: 8.50-10.00
Λίαν Καλώς (Lian Kalos) Very Good: 6.50- 8.49
Καλώς (Kalos) Good: 6.00- 6.49
The minimum passing grade is 6.
The duration of the program is set at four (4) academic semesters, 120 ECTS.
A full academic year is equivalent to 60 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) and a full semester is equivalent to 30 ECTS (1 ECTS = 25-30 working hours) (Harmonization of the Greek Legislation, M. O. F5 / 89656 / Β3, FEK 1466/2007 / Β, art. 1-3, according to the European Legislation). Each course is assigned the number of required ECTS (> = 2) which expresses the workload needed by the student to complete the course, laboratory, tutoring, internship, etc.
