Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to the finite element method. Descretization of the continuum. Element and global stifness matrix. Displacement method. The principle of virtual displacement. The principle of complementary virtual work. Interpolation equations. Elements types. 1D, 2D and 3D elements. Isoparametric elements.
