Learning Outcomes
Objective: Course’s objectives are to inform students on oral diseases, provide both diagnostic and therapeutic skills and promote intercourse between General Medicine and oral diseases. Training is oriented on “symptom oriented diagnosis” and “problem based learning” strategies. Intended learning outcomes: Pre-graduate education on oral structures, functions and disorders Providing clinical skills on evaluating oromaxillofacial area, organs and neighbouring structures. Students are encouraged to develop a high clinical suspicion for serious or emergency problems or disorders connected to manifestations of systemic diseases. Both the course and textbook are structured according to “symptom oriented” and “problem based learning” strategies. This fact promotes an algorithmic approach of clinical problems and development of a differential diagnosis methodology.
