Students after completion of this course should 1. have understand the pathophysiology of vascular disease, 2 to have learned the methods used for the diagnosis of vascular diseases and 3. become aware of endovascular and surgical techniques used in vascular surgery

Course Content (Syllabus)
Clinical and laboratory assessment of vascular diseases. Acute arterial occlusion. Cerebral ischaemia carotid disease. Thoracic aortic and aortic arch pathology. Aortoiliac atherosclerotic occlusive disease ( Leriche syndrome). Reno-vascular hypertension. Peripheral arterial occlusive disease and diabetic angiopathy. Buerger disease. Abdominal aortic aneurysms, splanchnic aneurysms and peripheral arterial aneurysms. Splanchnic vascular syndromes. Congenital dysplasias. Thoracic outlet syndrome. Arterial Entrapment syndromes. Endovascular management of vascular diseases.
