Course Content (Syllabus)
It involves the application of the knowledge of physiological properties to restore stability. It is tried to understand the mechanisms and how certain factors may alter system functioning by monitoring how each system interacts with the other. It is discussed the effect of environmental factors such as temperature, humidity and altitude to human performance. In particular, it is studied the disruption of red blood cells formation – Renal function – Mechanisms and types of renal failure – Mechanisms and types of cardiac failure- Mechanisms and types of pulmonary failure- Adaptation in high altitudes and high pressure – Endocrine system malfunction, liver failure, Ischemia, Hyperlipidemia
