Learning Outcomes
Pain Management, Intensive Care Medicine, Recovery-Resuscitation and Emergency Medicine are included in the scientific fields of Anesthesiology and they are the daily clinical routine of the anesthesiologists. The object of this non-mandatory course is for the students to understand the pain mechanisms and the pathophysiology of the critically ill patient. Upon successful completion of this course students will be sensitized about acute and chronic pain management and they will be familiar with guidelines and methods regarding pain management. Moreover, students will perceive knowledge and skills in order to be able to assess and treat the critically ill patient both in the ED and in the ICU
