Learning Outcomes
1. The knowledge of the basic patterns (theme, character development e.t.c) and the continuity in the work of exceptional writers/directors.
2. Familiarization with individual issues in screenwriting (multiplot - multicharacter / post - modern narratives, Italian neorealism / nouveuel wague / existential cinema e.t.c)

Course Content (Syllabus)
Through studying the work of important screenwriters, we examine the basic motifs of these creators , the thematic cores of their work and the narrative trends of their era. Also, the methods they use during the creative procedure of writing a screenplay. The theory of the course is combined with creative writing exercises.
