Learning Outcomes
At the end of the semester students will be able to: 1. analyze a script from the acting point of view, 2. organize the cast and audition, 3. coach the actors during the rehearsals, the shooting and the dubbing.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to Stanislavki’s System. Mental and physical concentration. The role of imagination and “The magic if". Ways of improvisation. Cognitive analysis. The method of physical actions and the process of active analysis in a script. The Subtext. The social condition of the character. The transformation arc and the core of the character. The main event of a scene and its breakdown into segments. The organization of the casting process and the audition. Working with the actor during shooting and dubbing.

Description
Assessment Two personal assignments for each semester (worth of 40% on final grade or of 20% each) First personal assignment: written analysis of one film scene. The text should include the film genre, the theme, the controling idea and the film acting style. Arrange the film scene in script form. Analysis of the film scene according to the acting technique Second personal assignment: Rehearsal of the script with actors (simply rehearsal process based on analysis) Exams The Film Director Group, after accomplishing the desired result through intensive rehearsals, will shoot the selected film scene. The coverage of the scene can be simple because the emphasis should be on acting and not on shooting. Finally the film director group should film its work experience evaluation and deliver together with the filmed scene. This coursework worth of 60% on final grade should be handled on exam day in digital form (MP4).
