Course Content (Syllabus)
Οrigin, taxonomy and botanical feuatures of citrus trees. Propagation of citrus trees. Citrus rootstocs. Orchard design and planting establishment. Citrus cultivation techniques (irrigation, fertilization, pruning, training systems). Pollination, fertilization, fruit set, citrus fruit growth and development. Citrus fruit ripening, maturity criteria and harvest. Citrus fruit storage.Tropical and subtropical fruits (banana,avocado,mango, date palm, papaya etc)
