Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. posess a basic knowledge of the mechanisms involved in farm animal physiology of nutrition.
2. evaluate the current literature concerning the understanding of the farm animal physiology of nutrition.
3. recognize the goals based on the digestive system, digestion, absorption and metabolism of nutrients in farm animals.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Constituents of animal body and feedstuffs. Organic nutrients (carbohydrates, fat, proteins). Anatomy and physiology of digestive system of farm animals. Digestion and absorption of nutrients. Metabolism of nutrients. Vitamins (the biological and metabolic role, defficiency symptoms). Minerals.
